The audio in this version is arguably superior due to the echoing. I don’t think the PC version has that.

The soundtrack for this game led me to the world of music let alone other soundtracks for other racing games such as Gran Turismo and Sega Rally. I discovered Garbage thru this, searched for the band online at school (I didn’t have a computer at home), saw their singer Shirley Manson and had a crush on her when I was like 13. I still like pale redheads because of that lol Also went to see Feeder live (I still listen to their new releases to this day). Soulwax and Way Out West were banging too. Thanks WRC, you opened my eyes (ears) to music.

Happy 21st Anniversary to WRC 3 PS2! I remembered a lot pressing START (x16) then pressing X on the main menu to unlock all the available features including Concept Class.

I was gaming in the early 90s and don't recall a "Hercules" display. Was there actually a monochrome Monkey Island that had to be made for that, or is just taking the 16-colour version and filtering it? I just ask because some of that dithering looks messy, like it's an automatic per-pixel thing, whereas dithering by hand could have looked a bit cleaner.

The Amiga's sound is the best in the comparison, I don't know how the PC took over the market.
